Soul Sisters Podcast: Kelly Rowland Talks New Music, Book and Growing Up With the Knowles Family

“Solange was coming up under us so we had to be good role modes for her,” she recalls of their well-behaved adolescence (only slightly begrudgingly).

“I finally have my message and that’s the best feeling in the world,” she says. “I remember when DC locked in on The Writing’s On the Wall as a sound and I was like, ‘That’s mine!’ It’s such a good feeling to know that that sound just sounds like you.”
