Step aside The Little Things (starring Denzel Washington), there’s a new number one movie on Netflix and it goes by the name of…What Jennifer Did.

As of today, the newly released crime documentary (which only debuted on the platform 24 hours ago) occupies the top spot on the streaming service’s top ten movies list. In reaching number one, the doc knocked the Washington serial killer thriller down to the number four spot.

Meet Jennifer Pan, who is the daughter of Bich Ha and Hann Pan. On November 8, 2010, she called 911 in a panic, telling the authorities that intruders had broken into their house and killed both of her parents. Her father (still alive) was transported to the hospital and placed in a medically induced coma. When he woke up, he revealed the identity of one of the culprits behind the home invasion: his own daughter.

Through in-depth interviews and never-before-seen footage, What Jennifer Did examines how Jennifer Pan went from an award-winning pianist to facing charges of first-degree murder.

The writer and director behind the documentary, Jenny Popplewell (who also directed Netflix’s American Murder: The Family Next Door), revealed to Time magazine that she hopes to draw more attention to the case. “This isn't an immediate snap, this was a slow unraveling that had an opportunity to be intercepted and for her to get help,” Popplewell said. “And unfortunately, it doesn’t seem that she was able to speak to the right people about her emotions and how she was feeling.’”
