Sorority Noise Issue New Statement About Sexual Assault Allegation

The band canceled tour dates in April 2018 following an allegation against frontman Cameron Boucher

In April 2018, Sorority Noise canceled a tour after a sexual assault allegation was made against frontman Cameron Boucher. At the time, Boucher called the allegation “false” and “baseless.” Now, he has shared a public statement on the band’s social media accounts stating that he has had a “positive and constructive conversation with a person who, eight months ago, was pressured into making a statement about me online.” He also writes that the note was approved by the person who made the allegation.

Boucher continues, “Although we are each valid in our own experiences, we agree that anything that did occur between us was not purposeful or malicious.” He concludes, “I have been in intensive therapy for the past eight months and over that time I’ve been working towards growth, being mindful, and moving forward.” Read the full statement below.

Sorority Noise have been on hiatus since April. Another one of Boucher’s bands, Old Gray, had planned a “farewell tour” for June 2018. Those concerts did not take place.
