Sophie Turner Says ‘2023 Was the Year of the Girlies’ amid Divorce from Joe Jonas

Sophie Turner is ringing in the New Year with some appreciation for her girlfriends.

The actress, 27, shared a carousel of 10 photos with a variety of her female friends on Instagram Tuesday as she declared that “2023 was the year of the girlies.”

The New Year was looking similar, she said in the caption, as she wrote: “2024s forecast is looking fairly consistent.”

Amongst the photos were several shots with Olivia DeJonge, including a picture of the pair sitting at a restaurant booth and one of them with two other women posing in a mirror with their biceps flexed.

Turner also shared a photo from one of the Kansas City Chiefs games she attended with pal Taylor Swift, who is dating the team’s tight end, Travis Kelce. Along with Swift and Turner, DeJonge, Sabrina Carpenter and the singer's brother, Austin Swift, as well as his girlfriend, Sydney Ness, posed in the shot from the October game at MetLife Stadium.

Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and Queer Eye star Antoni Porowski were also in attendance at the Chiefs vs. Jets game.

Turner’s declaration that 2023 was “the year of the girlies” comes just months after her husband, Joe Jonas, filed for divorce in September. The couple had been married four years, and Jonas, 34, called the marriage “irretrievably broken” in the filing.

A source told PEOPLE at the time that the move did not come as a “surprise” to those around him and the Game of Thrones actress, as they had “been living separate lives for months.”

In the only statement the couple shared, they said they’d reached the decision “mutually” and “amicably” and addressed speculation about the reason behind the split.

“There are many speculative narratives as to why, but truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children,” the statement, posted on Instagram by both Jonas and Turner in September, said.

They’ve since reached a temporary custody agreement regarding their two daughters, Delphine and Willa, that allows both parents to care for the two toddlers through early 2024. Per the agreement, Turner had the girls for both Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

Since her split from the singer, Turner has been out and about with many of her girlfriends quite often in New York City, including outings with Swift, 34. The pair frequently stepped out for dinner together, including a few group meals with pals like Selena Gomez, Cara Delevingne and Gigi Hadid also in tow.

In September, multiple sources confirmed to PEOPLE that the actress was staying in an NYC home owned by Swift amid the divorce.

As of late, Turner — who is set to star in a new series, Joan, about infamous jewel thief Joan Hannington — has been linked to a new man, British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson. She was first spotted kissing Pearson, 29, in Paris in November, just days after they attended the Rugby World Cup Final match together.

In December, they were seen together on a walk in London, with the actress getting cozy and holding hands with Pearson, who broke up with his girlfriend, Princess Maria-Olympia of Greece and Denmark, in September, in photos obtained by Page Six.

The pair were seen smiling from ear to ear while holding hands. They were also photographed sharing a kiss, during which Pearson was pictured gently touching the small of Turner's back.
