Eight months after announcing their separation, Sophie Turner is addressing the aftermath of her divorce, including some of the "worst days of [her] life."

“There were some days that I didn’t know if I was going to make it,” she told British Vogue. “I would call my lawyer saying, ‘I can’t do this. I just can’t.’ I was just never strong enough to stand up for myself.”

“Once anyone says to me, ‘Do it for your kids,’ I’m doing it,” she continued. “I wouldn’t do it for myself, but I’ll find the strength for them.”

After their divorce, Turner sued Jonas, claiming that their daughters had been “wrongfully detained” in New York.

"I remember I was on set, I was contracted to be on set for another two weeks, so I couldn't leave. My kids were in the States and I couldn't get to them because I had to finish 'Joan.' And all these articles started coming out," she told British Vogue. "It hurt because I really do completely torture myself over every move I make as a mother—mum guilt is so real!"

Other articles claimed that Sophie Turner was a partier "without a care in the world."

"I just kept having to say to myself, 'None of this is true. You are a good mum and you've never been a partier," she added. "I mean, it's unfathomable the amount of people that will just make sh-t up and put it up based on a picture."

"A picture might tell a thousand words, but it's not my story. It felt like I was watching a movie of my life that I hadn't written, hadn't produced, or starred in," the 'Game Of Thrones' actress added. "It was shocking. I'm still in shock."

Luckily, Turner turned to her close friends, including pop star Taylor Swift, who the actress calls an "absolute hero," to help her through the tough time.

"Taylor was an absolute hero to me this year," she told the magazine. "I've never been more grateful to anyone than I am for her because she took my children and me, and provided us with a home and a safe space. She really has a heart of gold."

She also says the cast and crew of 'Joan' helped her get through the divorce. “They were my emotional support people, my family,” she said. “I really don’t know what I would have done without them.”

The actress, who had struggled with an eating disorder in the past, said that having children changed her life. “To be honest, having kids was the best thing for my relationship to my body," she told the outlet. "I remember after I had my baby, my therapist asked me how I felt in my body."

"And of course I was like, ‘Well, there’s milk leaking from my breasts and I’ve been bleeding for a month.’ Then she reminded me how amazing it is that our bodies can do this and how important it is to put all the nutrients in your body so that it can do that. I mean, it sounds so simple, but I never thought of my body in that way before,” she continued. “Being a young girl, especially one growing up in the spotlight, you really judge yourself.”
