Sophia Bush and Girlfriend Ashlyn Harris Make Their Red-Carpet Debut in Coordinating Looks

Shortly after confirming their relationship, Sophia Bush and Ashlyn Harris made their red-carpet debut in tasteful matching looks. The couple, dressed in coordinating black outfits with gold accents, attended the 2024 White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday.

Both wore Harbison Studio for the event, with Bush donning a strapless black dress with a corset bodice and flower-shaped buttons on the front, and Harris suited up in a textured black jacket with point gold buttons. The actor paired her gown with equally elegant metallic sandals and gold rings, while Harris opted for matching black pants, leather shoes, and standout metallic earrings. Talk about a good-looking hard launch.

Bush, best known for her role on One Tree Hill, publicly came out as queer earlier this week in a candid personal essay for Glamour. The magazine’s April cover star wrote that her coming-out at age 41, with her girlfriend by her side, feels like something like a “first birthday” all over again. “I finally feel like I can breathe,” she admitted.

The couple has kept their romance mostly out of the spotlight, stepping out together only a few times before Bush’s announcement. Her revelation came after filing for divorce from entrepreneur Grant Hughes in August 2023, following one year of marriage. Harris, who played on the World Cup–winning U.S. women’s national soccer teams in 2015 and 2019, filed for divorce from wife Ali Krieger in September. Both Bush and Harris grew closer after their respective splits last year and helped each other heal, according to the actor.

“It took me 41 years to get here,” she told Glamour. “When I take stock of the last few years, I can tell you that I have never operated out of more integrity in my life. I hope that’s clear enough for everyone speculating out there, while being as gentle as I possibly can be.”
