'Sons Of Anarchy': Watch The Amazing Audition Tapes From All Show's Star Characters

A video has surfaced on YouTube that shows the auditions of the actors who eventually became the cast of "Sons Of Anarchy," and it's must-watch TV.

Hunnam, Perlman and Sagal's performances are great, as well as the lesser-known characters, so the video is worth a look if you're a big fan of the show.

Pilots Are Precious Things

The auditions of Katey Sagal, Ron Perlman, Charlie Hunnam, Mitch Pileggi, Tommy Flanagan and others are on view in this video, along with their commentary on playing their character and observations from casting director Wendy O'Brien.

Kurt Sutter Explains the Odds

Executive producer and creator Kurt Sutter, who also appears in the video, discusses the precariousness of putting together a pilot.

"The thing with cable is, they only develop, you know, maybe seven or eight things. They only make a couple pilots and usually only put one of them on," Sutter says.

Acting Chops

What's great about the video is that you not only get a behind-the-scenes look at how they chose the actors they did, but you're also treated to some really good acting, despite the fact that they're auditions.

There's also a good inside-look at what the O'Brien was seeking in each character.

The word "danger" comes to mind a lot in the video, which of course makes perfect sense since they're an outlaw biker gang. The actors play their roles perfectly.
