'Sons Of Anarchy' And 'Mayans M.C.' Worlds Will Continue To Collide In Season 2

"Sons Of Anarchy" and "Mayans M.C." creator Kurt Sutter and "Mayans" showrunner Elgin James say the two worlds will intersect again in the second season of "Mayans."

Gearing Up For Season 2

Sutter and James spoke with Entertainment Weekly about what fans can expect.

SAMCRO members have already made an appearance in Season 1 of "Mayans M.C.," and it looks like they'll be back this season as well.

We May See More of Gemma

Sutter says bringing Gemma into "Mayans" through Clay's (Ron Perlman) incarceration was one way to create a connection between the two worlds. At the same time, "Mayans" character EZ is in the same prison.

“For me, it was using that device to tell the story of how the worlds intersected,” Sutter says.

Some Characters Already 'Established'

Sutter didn't say whether Gemma will be seen again in "Mayans" Season 2, but she's now there if they need her.

“There was crossover to give people a sense of timeline. I don’t know if I’ll use her or that device again, but if I need to, I’ve established it.”

Elgin: 'A Lot of People Have It Coming'

SAMCRO member Happy (David Labrava) also appeared in the Season 1 finale of "Mayans M.C.," while U.S. Attorney Lincoln Potter (Ray McKinnon) appeared during episode 6.

Elgin shared some interesting insights into what happens with Lincoln, besides saying he "has it coming."

“A lot of people have it coming, and I’ll tell you what, last season was about secrets. This season is about retribution. And as Malcolm X says, ‘The chickens come home to roost.’ But it may be on some people who might surprise you, not the ones you’re rooting to get theirs.”

"Mayans M.C.: debuts on FX Sept. 4.
