A new posthumous single from Lil Peep and XXXTentacion has been released. It’s called “Falling Down.” According to the song’s TIDAL credits, it was co-written by iLoveMakonnen and co-produced by Mike WiLL Made-It. Listen to “Falling Down” below.

On Instagram last month, Makonnen shared audio from X’s recording session, during which X expresses regret that he seemingly never met Peep. Mak also wrote, “Peep and I always believed that music heals and brings people together in a way nothing else can,” adding, “When I heard X’s recording, talking about my dear friend Peep, I could not wait any longer to share this.”

Lil Peep died last fall at the age of 21, following an accidental drug overdose. XXXTentacion was killed this past June. He was 20 years old. Four men have been arrested in connection with his murder. The case is ongoing.

At the time of his death, X was facing numerous legal charges, including aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment, and witness-tampering. He had pled not guilty and frequently denied the allegations in interviews and on social media.
