'Something for everyone': New boba tea and drink shop opens in eastern Sioux Falls

A new boba drink shop is open for business in eastern Sioux Falls. 9999 Boba, which is located at 3001 East 10th Street, features a variety of fruit and milk bubble teas.

The owners held a soft opening a few weeks ago, and so far, business has been busy, they said.

"It's been great so far. We've been thinking about doing this for the last three years, but COVID slowed us down. I'm glad we could bring this to the east-side community," said owner Johnny Pathaem.

9999 Boba has dozens of flavors including pineapple, lychee, matcha and pineapple. Popular menu items include the dragon fruit lemonade, kii passion (which is kiwi and passionfruit), guava lemonade and iced Thai coffee.

"Bubble drinks are very popular nowadays especially with younger people, but it's something for everyone," Pathaem said.

Patheam said he looks forward to growing the business and creating new flavors that everyone will enjoy. Customers can keep up with what's new on their website or Instagram.

9999 Boba is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
