Feb. 4—WINDBER, Pa. — For its 2024 season, Arcadia Theater will present a schedule of performances that organizers say will keep patrons rocking and rolling throughout the year.

"We try to find shows that we think people would like to come and see," said Jerry Ledney, executive director of the theater, located at 1418 Graham Ave. in Windber. "We review shows and pick what we think will be the most successful. We also try to bring in programs that would attract a diverse group of ages, so there should be something for everybody."

"We feel this is a strong season, and all the feedback we've received from the public has been very positive," Ledney said. "We want to make sure that everybody is happy and that we're able to continue to bring people into the building."

All shows will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Season begins Feb. 24

The season kicks off on Feb. 24 with High Noon — Classic Southern Rock.

The band is the East Coast's premier tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd and Southern rock, performing exclusively the '70s classic hits of Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers Band, Molly Hatchet, The Outlaws, 38 Special and The Marshall Tucker Band, and it is dedicated to preserving the legacy of the timeless music.

Audiences will be taken on a journey to the Golden Age of live music, and experience the raw power of all their favorite anthems from the founding fathers of Southern rock.

"They were here a few years back and we had a very good response from the audience," Ledney said. "This show will be a strong start to the season."

Tickets are $32, $36 and $40.

Chicago Transit — Music of Chicago will be presented March 23.

The Canadian act is one of the longest-running Chicago tribute bands and the only one to carry four lead vocalists, just as the band Chicago does.

The band, which is composed of five singers, a three-piece horn section and a five-piece rhythm section, received credit from Chicago in the '90s.

"This is a new show for us, and it has been 10 years since we've had a Chicago band here," Ledney said. "Chicago has had so many hits that everybody knows some of the music."

Tickets are $40, $44 and $48.

'Sell-out show'

On April 20, Simply Queen — Music of Queen will entertain.

The group performs the songs that made Queen one of the most legendary rock bands of all time and faithfully recreates the grand scope of Queen's live shows, both musically and visually, with attention to detail, capturing the amazing live Queen experience that filled stadiums around the world.

The band has headlined shows in the United States and Canada.

"We've heard from people who say they believe this is one of the top five shows that we've had at the theater," Ledney said. "This will be a sell-out show for us."

Tickets are $40, $44 and $48.

Karen Durrant as Tina Turner will be presented May 18.

Durrant is considered to be the world's No. 1 Tina Turner impersonator.

She has performed for audiences in excess of 10,000 people and has established herself as one of the most sought-after tribute artists in the world.

"This also is a new show for us, and we watched her videos and thought she was an excellent performer," Ledney said. "This is the first time we've had a Tina Turner show, and it's something different for us to try. It'll be a high-energy show."

Tickets are $40, $44 and $48.

Face to Face — Music of Elton John and Billy Joel will entertain June 29.

Mike Santoro belts out high-energy Billy Joel classics, while Kenny Metcalf dons the iconic sunglasses and bedazzled suits of Elton John and sings hits from the '70s to the present.

During the show, both acts aim to channel the spirit of their originals so well that audiences will forget they're a tribute.

"They've been here before and are another show that people rank in the top five at the theater," Ledney said. "This is an exciting show that will draw people in."

Tickets are $44, $48 and $52.

On July 27, Solitary Man — Tribute to Neil Diamond will be presented.

Will Chalmers has been performing his tribute to Diamond for eight years.

Chalmers' resemblance to Diamond and his replication of Diamond's voice, combined with his stage presence, have been captivating audiences wherever he goes.

"Neil Diamond tributes have always been a top show at the theater, and people like it," Ledney said. "Will Chalmers was here two years ago and received a standing ovation.

"His show is one of the fastest-selling at the theater, and it's one to look forward to."

Tickets are $40, $44 and $48.

The full-band top-production show will take audiences on a journey through the career of an American icon and legend who has sold more than 120 million albums worldwide and racked up 24 No. 1 hits.

"We try to do a little bit of country at the theater, and this will be our country show for the year," Ledney said. "This is a new show and I think people will be curious to see it, so I think it'll be received well."

Tickets are $40, $44 and $48.

On Sept. 21, Hollywood Nights — Music of Bob Seger will be presented.

The New Jersey-based band has set out to recreate everything about Seger and his music, right down to the smallest detail.

With a rock-solid history of giving its all at every performance and unwavering dedication to the do-it-yourself work ethic, the band has helped define the landscape of today's top tribute acts.

"This is another top five show for us, and it's one of my favorite shows at the theater," Ledney said. "They capture Bob Seger to a tee and it's a phenomenal show. It has been a sellout in the past and people have asked many times to have them return."

Tickets are $44, $48 and $52.

Amy Daves Yesterday Once More — Music of Anne Murray, Karen Carpenter, Linda Ronstadt and Olivia Newton-John will entertain on Oct. 19.

Daves and the Brewer Band will take audiences back in time with a treat for the senses with feel-good music from the 1970s.

"This will be the first time for her at the theater," Ledney said. "Sometimes it's nice to have a mellow show where you can sit back, relax and just listen to the music."

The season will conclude Dec. 14 with Abbey Road's Christmas With The Beatles.

The show will feature top Beatles hits along with some holiday tunes.

"We haven't done a Beatles show for about eight years, and we're looking forward to having a holiday show," Ledney said. "This show is already selling quickly."
