“Somebody Feed Phil” Is Back for Season 7! Get a First Look (Exclusive)

'Everybody Loves Raymond' creator Phil Rosenthal travels to eight new destinations in the upcoming episodes, which hit Netflix March 1

Phil Rosenthal is embarking on a variety of new culinary adventures on Somebody Feed Phil.

In an exclusive first look at the Netflix series’ upcoming seventh season, which premieres March 1, he sits at a restaurant when he sees a tray of mouth-watering meat coming his way.

“Porchetta, wowee wow wow. I’m not worthy,” says the Everybody Loves Raymond creator with his signature heartfelt enthusiasm adding, “This is dinner and a show, and the show is more dinner.”

Rosenthal admits that he’s “so happy” to devour the dish, but overwhelmed trying to keep up with the cuts of pork he’s being served. “I don’t know what to do — keep eating the first thing? I won’t be able to finish,” he says, before deciding, “I’ve got to move on.”

As is so often the case on the travel-meets-food series, the answer is to share with everyone in sight: “Porky goodness! Pork for everybody,” Rosenthal declares, raising his arms in victory.

In the new season’s eight episodes, Rosenthal travels to Mumbai, Washington, D.C., Kyoto, Iceland, Dubai, the "real" Orlando, Taipei and Scotland, to look for local gems and make connections through cuisine.

In a 2022 interview with Variety, Rosenthal shared how his background in comedy has influenced Somebody Feed Phil.

“What I borrow from sitcoms is I’m always looking for characters,” he said. “I understand that I am a character. My brother [Richard Rosenthal] who produces the show with me, understands by putting me in certain situations that, for instance, Anthony Bourdain would be very brave and fearless in. He understands that I would not fare as well as him. And that’s fun!”

Somebody Feed Phil isn’t the only food-focused project Rosenthal has been working on. He also co-wrote a children’s book, Just Try It!, with his daughter Lily that will hit shelves on March 5.

Season 7 of Somebody Feed Phil will be available to stream on Netflix March 1.
