Sofia Vergara is expanding her empire beyond ‘Modern Family’

Sofia Vergara has lots to brag about these days. She’s Forbes’s highest-paid TV actress of 2018, making a whopping $42.5 million. It’s the seventh year in a row she’s reached the coveted top spot. A lot of that came from her role in “Modern Family.” The show is in its 10th season and it was announced it will be renewed for its 11th, and final season. In 2009, Vergara scored the gig of a lifetime playing Modern Family’s Gloria Delgado-Pritchett. The comedic role has had a strong cultural impact for Latinas. “It's been a pleasure and an honor to be able to play Gloria on TV,” she told Yahoo Entertainment. “I lived around women that reminded me a lot of Gloria, you know, very colorful, very passionate, very loud, very fun and very passionate about family.” Outside of the small screen, the 46-year-old icon is growing a business empire. She has a perfume collection, is the face of CoverGirl, does Head & Shoulders ads, and recently launched a women’s underwear subscription service called EBY (Empowered By You). Now she’s adding a size-inclusive denim fashion line exclusively for Walmart.com. The collection features 100 items! You can choose from jeans, denim jackets, tops and graphic T-shirts. “We went all the way to size 20 to make sure that everybody could find something really, really affordable, sexy and cute.” The Sofia Jeans by Sofia Vergara collection is available now in sizes 0 to 20 for jeans and XS to XXXL for tops. Bonus: everything is under $40 available at Walmart.com.
