Sofia Richie Grainge Welcomes Her First Baby Girl

As summer begins, so does Sofia Richie Grainge’s foray into motherhood. The model announced the birth of her daughter this afternoon with an Instagram post, featuring a black and white photo of her baby’s feet cradled in her and husband Elliot Grainge’s hands. Their first child’s birthday is May 20, 2024.
Richie Grainge shared the baby’s name, captioning her post, “Eloise Samantha Grainge 🤍5•20•24 best day of my life🤍.” See the photo here.
The model and influencer teased that Eloise would be a Gemini in a January interview with Vogue, saying, “She’s growing pretty fast, so [the due date] is a bit up in the air.” Turns out, Eloise came a little earlier than Richie Grainge expected and is actually a Taurus (May 21 kicks off Gemini season).
She discussed the couple’s excitement over having a daughter in the same interview: “I love the YouTubes and the TikToks—even before I was talking about getting pregnant—of gender reveals, so we had our OB text my assistant Becca [our baby’s gender], and we bought two party poppers: one blue, one pink. She left out the one with the correct color inside, and Elliot and I popped it together. We both really thought it was a boy, so it was a true shock. My dream in life is to have a daughter [though], and Elliot is really excited for a girl too. I think it’s so typical for boys to want boys, but he has a lot of sisters. It was really sweet. He’s very sensitive.”
