The couple are currently expecting a baby girl. The happy news came less than a year after the pair said, "I do," in the South of France in April 2023.

Richie and Grainge initially bonded over their shared experience growing up in the music industry. Grainge is the son of Universal Music Group chairman and CEO Lucian Grainge, and Richie is the daughter of singer-songwriter Lionel Richie.

Lionel publicly gave his stamp of approval in an April 2022 interview with Access Hollywood.

"I love Elliot. I've known him since he was 12," he said. "It was one of those things where I don't have to go back and check out the kid. I know who he is. She's in good hands."
