Sofía Vergara Reveals the 'Most Challenging' Part of Dating After Joe Manganiello Divorce

We already know Sofía Vergara has moved on from her last serious relationship, but being back out in the dating world still isn't always easy.

The Modern Family alum opened up about the challenges of dating in a new interview published just ten months after the actress announced her split from her now ex-husband, Joe Manganiello.

The former couple had been married for seven years when they announced in July 2023 that they would be going their separate ways. Their divorce was later finalized in April 2024.

While speaking with PEOPLE, Vergara got candid about the realities of putting herself back out there and beginning to date again—something she said has never been easy due to the public attention on her love life.

When asked about the "most challenging" part of dating in the public eye, the 51-year-old confessed, "Everything."

"Because everything gets so exaggerated," she explained. "Everything sometimes gets not interpreted the right way."

"So life is already hard. Having relationships is hard. Problems are hard," she continued. "And then to see it out there and be completely changed, you want to be like, 'What is going on?' But you just get used to it."

However, she did note that all the unsolicited attention "comes with being famous, so you can’t complain that much."

Since calling things off with Manganiello, 47, the Griselda star has been romantically linked to Justin Saliman, an orthopedic surgeon with whom she was first photographed in October 2023.

Vergara all but confirmed their relationship last month when she shared an Instagram photo of Saliman tending to her while she recovered from knee surgery.

"If u ever get a major knee surgery make sure u Get a handsome doctor who will sleep with u that night!!!!!" Vergara joked in her Instagram Story at the time, before going on to tell Saliman "Luv u." '
