Can't keep up with what's been going on in the social media world? Fret not. Here, a gathering of what stars, artists and brands have been up to this week on social media.
Asma al-Assad, 41, the first lady of Syria who has a penchant for Chanel and Louboutin accessories, neutral-tone shift dresses and turtlenecks, has an Instagram account full of photos of her wearing designer duds and appearing benevolent around lots of children, while her husband Bashar al-Assad continues his reign of terror.
The first lady resides in Damascus, a mere 158 miles away from Khan Sheikhoun, the town where 72 (and rising) infants, children and adults were gassed on April 5 with the nerve agent sarin, dropped by air in barrel bombs (repurposed oil barrels). A U.K. citizen who has two sons and a daughter of her own, the first lady posted a pretty photo of herself wearing polka dots around the time of the chemical-weapons attack, and commenters took her to task. One Instagram user, Sora Kwon, commented: "How can you post this ridiculous photo of yourself, when there are atrocities inflicted on your own people? Are you that dense? Or evil?"
On Friday, the first lady shared a statement condemning the "excessive and unjust aggression" of the U.S. air strikes launched April 6 in retaliation for her husband's actions.

How Do You Solve a Problem Like Ivanka?
Just like a scene from The Sound of Music, Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump had their children Joseph and Arabella perform for Chinese President Xi Jinping and Madame Peng Liyuan after dinner at Mar-a-Lago on Thursday night. The children sang "Mo Li Hua" (Jasmine Flower), a traditional Chinese folk song. Ivanka shared it on her Twitter, and Donald Trump retweeted it, opening the floodgates for comments about his grandchildren.

Jared Kushner made an unannounced trip to Iraq to discuss ISIS strategies on Monday. He met with troops looking like he was dressed for Southsides in Newport, R.I. The first son-in-law wore a preppy blue blazer and sunglasses and a bulletproof vest with a strap that covered the last three letters of his name, creating the perfect frat-boy nickname. Naturally, Jared "Kush" Kushner started making the meme rounds. Kushner has yet to tweet even once, so don't except a response on social media.
"Fellas, this situation is not unlike the time Paul Allen and I couldn't get a table at Dorsia. It was a real war crime.
