What are the latest comings and goings casting moves at all four daytime dramas: The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless?

Soap Opera Casting For The Week of May 6, 2024

Find out if any of your favorite actors and actresses from yesteryear are returning to the shows you watch, if any newcomers have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles, or if any performers are set to make their exit.

General Hospital

Daytime vet Lane Davies is heading back to the daytime fold, specifically to General Hospital. The actor, best known for his role as Mason Capwell on Santa Barbara, is set to play attorney Fergus Byrne. The character is the brother of the late Neil Byrne, Alexis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) former psychiatrist and boyfriend who overdosed at her home. Fergus will debut later this month. Davies has been on GH before. He played Dr. Cameron Lewis from 2002 to 2004.

Alley Mills pops in as Heather Webber on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. She’ll have scenes with Genie Francis’ Laura, who pays her a visit at Pentonville.

Meanwhile, there’s a new teenager on the Port Charles scene. Tristan Riggs has taken over the role of Elizabeth’s (Rebecca Herbst) youngest son, Aiden Spencer. The actor, who made his first appearance last week, has an array of credits, including guest spots on Walker, True Lies, and Best Foot Forward. He replaces Enzo De Angelis, who had played Aiden since 2021.

Last but not least, Juliet Donenfeld has been temporarily replacing Lily Fisher as Georgie Spinelli, Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) daughter. The young actress premiered last week.

Days of our Lives

Serena Scott Thomas has begun filming a mysterious new role at Days of our Lives. The soap is keeping a tight lid on her character’s identity. The English actress is known for her portrayal of the late Princess Diana in the 1993 TV mini-series Diana: Her Story, and also appeared in the films Four Weddings and a Funeral and The World Is Not Enough.

Louis Tomeo debuts as Tate’s (Leo Howard) new pal, Aaron, on Wednesday, May 8. He’ll interact with Howard, Ashley Puzemis’ Holly, and Madelyn Kientz’s Sofia. The actor’s credits include Every Witch Way, The Summer I Turned Pretty, and 9-1-1.

Erin Wu airs as Alana on Monday, May 6 as Alana. She’ll have scenes with Blake Berris’ Everett.

Maggie Carney has been playing Rita, EJ’s (Dan Feuerriegel) secretary and a longtime employee at DiMera Enterprises.

On the exit front, Lucas Adams and Victoria Grace departed the soap as Tripp Johnson and Wendy Shin when the couple left for an extended trip to Hong Kong. The door, however, has been left open for their return at a later date.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Over at The Bold and the Beautiful, Naomi Matsuda returns as Finn’s (Tanner Novlan) adoptive mother, Dr. Li Finnegan. Look for the character to have a powerful interaction with her son’s biological mother, Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown), on Thursday, May 9 and Friday, May 10.

Departing the soap is Clint Howard, who wrapped up his two-episode stint as Tom. The homeless man played a crucial role in leading Deacon (Sean Kanan) and Finn to Sheila.

The Young and the Restless

Colleen Zenk gets more airtime as the imprisoned Jordan Howard on The Young and the Restless. She’ll share scenes with her captor, Eric Braeden’s Victor, on Monday, May 6 and Thursday, May 9, as he taunts her and she tries to strike a deal with him.

Veronica Redd pops back in as Mamie Johnson this week. Look for the character to share Chancellor Winters office scenes with Christel Khalil’s Lily.
