Soap Opera Casting For April 22 – 26, 2024

Find out if any of your favorite actors and actresses from yesteryear are returning to the shows you watch or if any newcomers have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles.

The Young and the Restless

A new doctor is being introduced on The Young and the Restless. Christopher Cousins has been tapped to play Alan Laurent, a psychiatrist and friend of Ashley’s (Eileen Davidson). He’ll make his first appearance on Tuesday, April 30. The actor is no stranger to daytime. He previously played Greg Houston on Another World,  Colin Crowley on As the World Turns, Cain Rogan on One Life to Live, and, most recently, Dr. Kirk on General Hospital.

Jess Walton is back on the scene as Jill Abbott. She’ll interact with her team at Chancellor-Winters  on Tuesday, April 23.

Veronica Redd makes another appearance as Mamie Johnson. She’ll connect with Christel Khalil’s Lily on Tuesday, April 23.

Andre Hotchko appears as a truck driver on Tuesday, April 23. Peter Bergman’s Jack will interrogate the character in regard to Harrison’s abduction.

The Bold and the Beautiful

A Hollywood veteran makes his debut on The Bold and the Beautiful. Clint Howard begins playing Tom on Friday, April 26, a homeless man who’ll shed light on Sheila’s (Kimberlin Brown) mysterious “death.” Howard started his career on The Andy Griffith Show with his brother, Ron Howard, before gaining stardom on Gentle Ben in 1967. He also appeared as Commander Buck Martinez on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

Tracey Bregman is back for another appearance as Lauren Fenmore Baldwin, her long-time The Young and the Restless character. She’ll share scenes with Sean Kanan’s Deacon on Monday, April 22.

Days of our Lives

Over at Days of our Lives, the soap’s teen world is expanding. Louis Tomeo has been cast as Aaron, a pal of Leo Howard’s Tate, and debuts this week. Tomeo’s credits include Every Witch Way, The Summer I Turned Pretty, and 9-1-1.

Meanwhile, Madelyn Kientz has been tapped to play Sophia, a friend of Holly’s (Ashley Puzemis) since they were kids. The actress, who premieres this week, was last seen as Max on Big Sky and has also appeared on Walker and The Walking Dead: World Beyond.

Finley Rose Slater pops in as Rachel Black. She airs on Thursday, April 25 in scenes with her TV mother, Stacy Haiduk’s Kristen.

That was Karole Foreman portraying Judge Dabney, the official who presided over Stefan’s (Brandon Barash) case. Also, Emma Fassler popped in as Ellie, the new Kiriakis maid.

General Hospital

The battle for what’s best for Danny Morgan kicks into high gear on General Hospital. That means that Asher Antonyzyn is back for some serious screen time. Look for the teenager to take center stage as he’s featured in a tug-of-war between his TV mom, Kelly Monaco’s Sam, and recently returned TV dad, Steve Burton’s Jason. Antonyzyn is back for key scenes with Burton on Monday, April 22.
