What are the latest casting moves at all four daytime dramas: The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless?

Casting For The Week of May 20, 2024

Find out if any of your favorite actors and actresses from yesteryear are returning to the shows you watch, if any newcomers have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles, or if any performers are set to make their exit.

Days of our Lives

Days of our Lives has made a groundbreaking casting move. Kennedy Garcia debuts as Felicity on Wednesday, May 22, the Sweet Bits customer Chanel’s (Raven Bowens) has been talking about to Johnny (Carson Boatman). She will be the first actress with Down syndrome to appear on daytime.

Louis Tomeo is back as Aaron on Wednesday, May 22. He’ll interact with Leo Howard’s Tate.

Tina Huang is back on the scene as Melinda Trask. Salem’s former DA shares scenes with the town’s current mayor, Jackée Harry’s Paulina, on Monday, May 20.

The Bold and the Beautiful

It looks like Matthew Atkinson has teased his return to The Bold and the Beautiful as Thomas Forrester. In his Instagram stories, the actor shared an image of himself smirking and pointing to a TV screen airing the soap. Soap Hub hears that the actor will be making his comeback in June. Atkinson and his TV son Henry Joseph Samiri, who portrays Douglas, left the canvas in March when they left for Paris.

Heather Tom, who’s been missing as Katie Logan since early April, gave fans an update on her status with the soap via an Instagram post, too. Tom revealed that she was on set filming an episode, a scene with Don Diamont’s Bill, as well as pulling double duty as director the same day.

Clint Howard is back for another appearance as Tom, the homeless man who helped Deacon (Sean Kanan) and Finn (Tanner Novlan) find Sheila (Kimberlin Brown).  Look for Tom to appear on Thursday, May 23 and Friday, May 24.

The Young and the Restless

Over at The Young and the Restless, Christopher Cousins’ run as Ashley’s (Eileen Davison) friend and psychiatrist, Alan Laurent, has been extended. Cousins, who was originally slated to film scenes through April, will continue to work through May. “They’re keeping me on, which I’m very grateful for,” Cousins told Soaps In Depth. Yet he did not offer up any more details. “I don’t know what I can say about that, so I won’t say anything.”

Judah Mackey pops back in as Connor Newman on Tuesday, May 21. Look for the young actor, who’s been receiving treatment for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, to share scenes with his TV parents, Melissa Claire Egan’s Chelsea and Mark Grossman’s Adam.

Colleen Zenk resurfaces as Jordan Howard on Tuesday, May 21, Wednesday, May 22 and Thursday, May 23, as her character plots her escape from Victor’s (Eric Braeden) prison.

General Hospital

Charles Mesure is back on the General Hospital scene as Brennan on Monday, May 20. Look for Finola Hughes’ Anna to interact with  the former WSB director and current Pentonville inmate.

Giovanni Mazza is back as Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) cousin, Gio Cerullo. He airs on Thursday, May 23.

Ellen Travolta and George Russo wrap up their Port Charles visit as Gloria and Carmine Cerullo, Lois’ (Rena Sofer) parents and Brook Lynn’s grandparents. The pair are headed back to Bensonhurst after attending their granddaughter’s nuptials.
