A series based on Snow Crash, the 1992 science fiction novel by Neal Stephenson that coined the term "metaverse," is in production at HBO.
Michael: So corruption now is just "mistakes in judgment".m a manager in the Federal government competing for a new position. So I guess if I go to our our audit department, which is under my office, to make an announcement that my primary competitor for the job is under a criminal investigation, if they don't do it I'll withhold their salaries. If I get caught I can just say I'm only human and it was a mistake in judgment. Reply Andrew55 minutes ago "Republican Sen. Richard Shelby defended an argument from President Trump’s legal team that soliciting foreign interference in an election is not an impeachable offense" So violating election laws and committing a felony is not impeachable? And "things happen"? That's not a defense for this kind of behavior ReplyReplies (84)35039 El2 hours ago Does anyone believe that the "good" senator from Alabama would have said the same thing had the culprit been Obama? ReplyReplies (99)63343 Colin2 hours ago Trump just came out and said he didn't know Lev Parnas. There is a photo of a young Lev Parnas attending Eric Trump's birthday party, standing less than five feet from Donald Trump! Trump not only knew of Giuliani's attempts to use Parnas as a mediator with Ukraine to get them to announce an investigation into the Bidens, he was the director of the scheme. There are those that do not get just what a Trump Republican enabler is, you, and not what not to be as a elected member of the Congress of the USA that is suppose to uphold the Constitution and the laws of our land. Think about this when it is time to vote this one in or out of office. ReplyReplies (1)17712 incredulous40 minutes ago Trump knew exactly what he was doing and had a huge team, including the attorney general and the vice president helping him with this. ReplyReplies (2)914 Rob28 minutes ago Humans make mistakes, this is true. However, Trump knowingly and intentionally committed acts that are criminal under the law. Also, I have never heard Trump admit to making a mistake. I have heard him speak a whole lot about the mythical "perfect conversation." ReplyReplies (41)37529 Jumbo White51 minutes ago To characterize this in such a trivial manner understates how complex and far reaching this conspiracy is. Trump and several in supporting roles, including elected members of Congress all have a role in this. It's big and the impeachment will show that. So in this new reality, any corruption can now just be attributed to a "mistake in judgment". In other words there is no right or wrong. Let's say I'm an executive manager in the Federal government. I'm competing for a new job, up against one of my peers who is highly qualified. Things don't look good for me. I happen to be over the audit department. I go to the audit manager and ask him to make a public announcement that the person I'm up against is under some sort of investigation. Now when he doesn't do it I order the accounting department to hold back the travel funds for their office. If I ever did anything like this I would be out of a job.
