Snoop Dogg and his wife, Shante Broadus, approve of the Barbie movie. On Tuesday (Sept. 12), the West Coast icon hit Instagram to briefly review the Warner Bros. film. In a dimly lit room, Snoop could be seen smiling as he began to unpack what he had witnessed.

“Just got back from seeing Barbie,” he began his review. “That sh*t funny as a muthaf**ka. Me and my wife [were] in there laughing like a muthaf**ka. And you do know that!” He ended the video with a comically sinister laugh as he panned the video to the other half of his room.

Barbie has been a hit since it arrived in theaters on July 21, 2023. The movie stars Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Issa Rae, Simu Liu, Emma Mackey, Micheal Cera, Alexandra Shipp, Ncuti Gatwa, Kingsley Ben-Adir, and more.

A month after its release, Greta Gerwig’s movie passed $1 billion in global ticket sales. The astonishing sales helped Gerwig become the highest-grossing female director, passing Wonder Woman’s Patty Jenkins. Additionally, Barbie became the biggest opening of 2023, snagged the highest opening for a non-sequel movie, and became the most lucrative film based on a toy.

As for Snoop, he has his movie coming out soon. On Thursday (Sept. 7), the emcee took to IG to announce his film, The Big Payback.

“In a world full of Gods and monsters, the only way to cut off evil is at the root,” the Death Row head honcho says in the teaser clip. The camera then shifts to his character waiting in a dark room, eating a bowl of Snoop’s Hoopz. Dah-Dah directed the film, but it doesn’t appear to have a release date.
