Snoop Dogg Pays Tribute to Late Half Brother at Funeral: 'Miss That Laugh'

The rapper announced earlier this week that his half brother Bing Worthington died at the age of 44

Snoop Dogg is honoring his half-brother Bing Worthington.

The rapper, 52, shared a sentimental tribute to Worthington — who died earlier this month at the age of 44 — by sharing a photo on Instagram from his funeral along with a few words to convey what his brother meant to him.

In the post, Snoop Dogg (whose real name is Calvin Broadus Jr.) could be seen standing alongside Worthington’s casket with other members of the funeral party wearing an all red suit with a matching red hat and dark sunglasses. He appeared to look solemnly above the casket as his family members beside him bowed their heads.

“Everlastin love Beverly’s boys. Dirty left bing and snoopy 🔥🌹🕊️,” he captioned the post. “@badabing33 miss that laugh and the way u made us smile keep mama company till we get there 🕊️✌🏾.”

Several people in the comments sent their condolences to the rapper, including Actress Lena Waithe wrote “Keeping you prayed up.” Michael Strahan also replied with a prayer hands emoji.

The post comes a few days after the “Drop It Like Its Hot” rapper alluded to Worthington’s death on social media alongside a photo posing next to his late younger brother and the caption, “@badabing33 😢😔🕊️🙏🏾.”

He later elaborated more in another video featuring footage of the siblings, their older brother Jerry Wesley Carter and others standing in a cemetery.

“@badabing33 always made us laugh 💙🙏🏾😢 u bac with moms,” Snoop wrote in the caption, referring to their late mother, Beverly Tate, who died at age 70 in October 2021.

Worthington worked alongside his brother in the music industry for many years starting as a roadie for the rapper, according to a 2016 Vice interview. He eventually became his tour manager and even co-wrote the song “Be Thankful,” which appeared on the 2000 debut album for Snoop's rap group The Eastsidaz.

With his brother, he went on to create business ventures such as Snoop Dogg Skateboards, though he also took on many solo opportunities as well. He became part of the rap duo Lifestyle and headed up the Canadian record label Dogg Records as an executive producer, according to Billboard.

Amid Worthington’s death, Snoop Dogg has also been dealing with a recent health scare in his family after his 24-year-old daughter Cori Broadus, whom he shares with wife Shante Broadus, suffered a “severe” stroke last month.

However, the father of four told PEOPLE at the premiere for his filmThe Underdoggs that Cori was “doing a little bit better.”
