Snoop Dogg’s full-time blunt roller can breathe a sigh of relief.
Last week, the rapper and noted marijuana enthusiast turned heads when he took to Instagram to announce that he’s “decided to give up smoke.” Some fans theorized that Snoop was prioritizing his health, or following Willie Nelson’s lead and embracing edibles. Or perhaps inflation was proving too expensive to employ a personal blunt roller.
As it turns out, Snoop’s announcement was nothing more than a clever marketing gimmick on behalf of a company called Solo Stove, which sells smokeless stoves and fire pits.
Snoop let fans in on the bit in a video released on Monday. “I have an announcement: I’m giving up smoke. I know what you’re thinking — Snoop, smoking is kind of your whole thing. But I’m done with it. I’m done with the coughing and my clothes smelling all sticky icky. I’m going smokeless. Solo Stove – they took out the smoke. Clever.”
So fans can rest easy knowing they still live in a world where Snoop Dogg smokes weed every day.
