Colin Jost and Michael Che were back at the “Weekend Update” desk on Saturday Night Live to take jabs at politics and pop culture.
Jost started off the night by taking a jab a U.S. President Joe Biden and his “strong warning about anyone thinking about attacking Israel.” A cut of all the times that Biden said “Don’t” then played out, which drew the comparison to Guardians of the Galaxy character Groot who only repeats his name as his way of communicating.

“I really like that Biden only needs one word to get his point across,” Jost said. “He’s basically the Groot of presidents.”
Jost was not done roasting Biden when he continued, “To give you an idea how effective ‘Don’t’ is, it’s the same thing Biden says to his dog right before it bites another Secret Service agent.”
The comedian then delivered another joke that involved Bill Cosby’s sexual assault allegations. Jost brought up the subject that Biden said the “Hamas attack was like fifteen 9/11s.”
“You can’t go somewhere to calm people down and then start rating things in numbers of 9/11,” Jost said. “That is not a calm scale. It’s like if your doctor gave you Ambien then said, ‘This will make you sleepier than 20 Cosby’s.'”
Later on in the show, Jost also joked about Netflix’s plan to open brick-and-mortar stores comparing them to a “serial killer walking around in the skin of its victims.”
