Of course Maya Rudolph brought her Beyoncé impression back to Saturday Night Live this week… and of course she had to go back on Hot Ones.

Rudolph once again played the pop icon during her SNL hosting gig this week and tried to eat more painfully hot chicken wings as a guest on the talk show Hot Ones. (Rudolph’s Beyoncé previously visited Hot Ones in a March 2021 SNL sketch.) This time, Beyoncé — decked out in full Cowboy Carter gear with a cowboy hat — let host Sean Evans (played by Mikey Day) know right away: “It’s a pleasure for you to have me.”

Evans asked her why she would come back after such a horrible experience last time, and Beyoncé admitted: “This is the only thing I have attempted that I did not slay.” This deeply troubled her, so she came back to take another crack at it. But from the first taste of Sergeant Sphincter’s Volcanopeño hot sauce, Beyoncé was in trouble: She went cross-eyed before complaining that “my bones are hot” and then speaking in tongues like she was possessed by a demon.

After an even hotter wing, it went downhill fast: Beyoncé let out an inhuman belch and then broke down in tears, throwing a glass of milk in Evans’ face in anger. (“You need to kill yourself, Gollum! That’s what you get for giving the world’s baddest bitch swamp ass on YouTube!”) To extinguish the flames, she even called over an assistant played by Kenan Thompson and had him pump very expensive cocoa butter into her mouth. Guess there are some things even Queen Bey can’t slay.
