Comedian and Emmy winner for The Bear, Ayo Edebiri, will be hosting this Saturday, February 3 with Jennifer Lopez as musical guest.

Lopez, meanwhile, has appeared on the show numerous times including three appearances as musical guest and three times as host. Maybe she’ll show up in a skit?

Who Else Has Hosted ‘SNL’ This Season?

Dakota Johnson: The Madame Web actress fronted the show for the second time on January 27. She first hosted back in 2015. She was joined by musical guest Justin Timberlake, who himself has hosted the show multiple times, becoming a member of its legendary Five-Timers Club in 2014. Among the buzziest sketches of the week was the “Big Dumb Cups” bit parodying the Stanley Tumblers craze.

Jacob Elordi: The Saltburn and Euphoria star was joined by musical guest Reneé Rapp on January 20. Rapp has a major SNL connection in that she played Regina George in the musical remake of Mean Girls, written and produced by Tina Fey. SNL chief Lorne Michaels also produced.

Kate McKinnon: The always-popular SNL holiday show featured Barbie duo Kate McKinnon and Billie Eilish on December 16. The duo even did a skit together. It was McKinnon’s hosting debut after winning two Emmys for her work as a cast member and she was joined onstage by former castmates Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph.

Adam Driver: Ferrari star Adam Driver was back to host for the fourth time on December 9 with Olivia Rodrigo, a six-time Grammy nominee for her second album, Guts, performing as musical guest for the second time.

Emma Stone: Five-time host Emma Stone was welcomed to the club by Tina Fey and Candice Bergen on December 2. “At 35 years old, you are officially the youngest member,” Fey said about Stone joining the club. “I am the second youngest at 53.” Musical guest was Noah Kahan.

Jason Momoa: Aquaman star Jason Momoa hosted for the second time on November 18 with musical guest Tate McRae. You can watch Momoa’s monologue here.

Timothée Chalamet: Chalamet hosted the show on November 11 alongside musical guest boygenius, the indie supergroup comprised of Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus. Chalamet got a chance to show off his smooth moves and “tiny red undies” during a skit in which he played “Australian You Tube twink turned indie pop star, and model turned HBO [The Idol] actor Troye Sivan.”

Nate Bargatze: On October 28, Comedian Nate Bargatze hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time. Joining him in the Halloween edition of SNL were Foo Fighters, who took the stage as musical guest for the ninth time.

Bad Bunny: The Puerto Rican rapper pulled double duty as host and musical guest on October 21. Bad Bunny previously performed in 2021 but this marked his first time as host. The global superstar wasted no time during his monologue to hit back at critics who said he didn’t dominate the English language. As a flex, the superstar recruited friend Pedro Pascal to help him out close out his monologue.

Pete Davidson: Former SNL castmember kicked off Season 49 on October 14 and delivered a surprisingly poignant monologue just days after Hamas’ attack on Israel.

Who Else Might We See As A Host In Season 49?

Taylor Swift, whose boyfriend Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is also a recent SNL host, is an obvious choice. In fact, she and Kelce had cameos on the Davidson-hosted season opener. She is, however, pretty busy these days with touring.

Fans online have called for the likes of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, rising rapper Ice Spice and Kelce’s teammate Patrick Mahomes to be invited.

Who Are The Season 49 Castmembers?

The cast returning includes Michael Che, Mikey Day, Andrew Dismukes, Chloe Fineman, Heidi Gardner, Punkie Johnson, Colin Jost, Ego Nwodim, Kenan Thompson and Bowen Yang. Cecily Strong departed mid-season.

James Austin Johnson, who became a breakout for his impersonations of Donald Trump and Joe Biden, and Sarah Sherman, whose quirky style went viral with her Meatballs sketch, have also been promoted from featured players to repertory status this season.

They have been joined by new castmember Chloe Troast, who has worked closely with SNL’s Please Don’t Destroy – the writing and performing group that consists of Ben Marshall, John Higgins, and Martin Herlihy.
