Here's Every Time "SNL" Roasted Morgan Wallen's Controversial Exit During Last Night's Episode

Morgan Wallen's sudden walk-off at the end of last weekend's SNL was one of the most talked-about moments in the show's current season.

In case you missed it: Morgan was the musical guest on last weekend's episode, and during the goodnights he basically got the hell out of Dodge as soon as possible after whispering something in host Mikey Madison's ear — pretty much the exact opposite of SNL tradition, as anyone who's seen the show even once knows.

Things got even stranger when Morgan posted an IG story shortly afterwards of a private jet set to take off in the middle of the night, with the caption "Get me to God's country."

Since then, there's been plenty of chatter around the whole thing. SNL vet Kenan Thompson weighed in, and reports emerged that Morgan wasn't game to be part of the show in general. Overall, it already seemed like there was no love lost between SNL and the country superstar...

And that only became more clear during last night's SNL, which was hosted by Jack Black with Elton John and Brandi Carlile as the musical guests.

The first reference to the incident came during the show's cold open, when James Austin Johnson referenced the "God's country" quip while acting as President Trump rolling out his tariffs plan. You can watch that below:

Morgan came up during the night's "Weekend Update" segment as well, and it also involved a reference to tariffs. “Investors have lost over $6 trillion," Colin Jost quipped at one point. "Money is leaving the stock market faster than Morgan Wallen at good night.”
