Kate McKinnon made her debut as Saturday Night Live host and was joined by former cast members Maya Rudolph and Kristen Wiig.

The Barbie star dropped into her “old job” to host the NBC late-night show and expressed how “weird” it was doing the monologue without being in character.

“It’s so weird to be doing the monologue. I don’t really like to talk in my own voice. That’s kind of why I got into this in the first place,” McKinnon said.

The former SNL star joked that she left the show “because my skin was reacting poorly to the prosthetics.”

“I’ve been trying to assemble a human personality,” she added. “And so far, I have a hat.”

McKinnon said that she’s never played herself in a monologue and has usually only played the role of “freak next to a hot person.”

“I’ve always felt more comfortable in a weird costume,” she said.

McKinnon got a big round of applause when she mentioned she was in the Barbie movie playing the role of “Weird Barbie.”

“I walked in on the first day and they were like, ‘Oh my God, you look perfect,'” she said. “And I was like, ‘These are my clothes.'”

The comedian also noted that running into old friends was the best part of returning to SNL. At this point, Rudolph and Wiig came into the scene for McKinnon’s debut as host.

“It’s so funny, we were just walking by,” Wiig joked.

“It’s great to see you guys,” McKinnon added.

Wiig noted that she looked herself up on Wikipedia, “as I do every day,” and read that she’s been “on over 38,000 sketches.”

“I don’t know if Wikipedia is the most reliable,” McKinnon said.

“I think it is Kate because it clearly says I’ve always won 12 Grammy awards, and I’m dating Travis Kelce,” Wiig added.

Rudolph then said her Wikipedia said she had won 29 Grammys and married Jay-Z.

McKinnon then asked both ladies if they had ever read the name at the top of the page, to which Wiig said, “I don’t think that’s a thing.”

The trio burst into the song “I’ll Be Home for Christmas.”
