Smoke Plumes Waft Skyward as Firefighters Battle California's French Fire

Large plumes of smoke wafted from the French Fire burning in Kern County, California, as the blaze grew to more than 19,500 acres on August 24.

This footage, taken by an ALERTWildfire camera on Tuesday evening, shows huge clouds of smoke emanating from the wildfire.
