Will Smith may never be able to run away from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, but he knows it’s always a crowd-pleaser. The audience of Thursday night’s Tonight Show went wild when the actor performed a brief “History of TV Theme Songs” medley with Jimmy Fallon and the music segued into that all-too familiar beat.

You all know how it goes; the lyrics don’t exactly bear repeating. Smith worked his way up the stairs and through the crowd as he rapped about his one role children of the ’90s will never forget.

Other TV hits performed in the medley included the tunes of Golden Girls, The Jeffersons, Diff’rent Strokes, Good Times, The Andy Griffith Show, I Dream of Jeannie, Full House, The Greatest American Hero, Martin, and Three’s Company.

But let’s face it. This crowd didn’t come here to listen to Smith perform “Thank You For Being a Friend” — although, if you’re gonna do the history of TV theme songs, this is a must — they came to see the Bright star throw it back.
