Smith denies having a sexual relationship with his former "Fresh Prince" costar.

Jada Pinkett Smith has shut down claims that Will Smith had sex with his former costar Duane Martin, saying she and her husband plan to take legal action over the "ridiculous" accusation.

The actress addressed longstanding rumors that she and Smith are swingers and claims of his sexual relationship with Martin put forth by Brother Bilal during an appearance on Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club on Thursday. "It's ridiculous," she said when asked about them. "It's nonsense."

She maintained that Bilal's claims stem from a "money shakedown" that did not pan out. "We’re gonna take legal action," said. "Because it’s one thing to have your opinion about somebody versus just making up salacious, malicious stories. So, that’s actionable. So we gonna roll with that.”

"It’s based around this person’s idea that they, in some way, were doing business around Will’s book, and that they spent money [and] needed to be compensated," Pinkett Smith said of Bilal. "So he already tried to do this money shakedown. Will was willing to give him a certain amount, and he didn’t take it. So, this whole situation is based on that.”

Smith told PEOPLE through his representative that the claims are "completely fabricated" and "unequivocally false." Representatives for the actor and Martin did not immediately respond to EW's request for comment.

Bilal, who claims to have been Smith's former assistant, recently alleged to a blogger named Tasha K that he once walked in on Smith having sex with Martin, an actor who appeared on episodes of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and the recent Peacock remake Bel-Air.

Pinkett Smith added that she and her husband had a nice laugh over the claims, noting that the King Richard star is "always gonna find the funny."

"You have to because it's absolutely ridiculous, you know what I'm saying?" she said. "You just gotta laugh about it. It's unfortunate."
