Slick Woods, famous for her modeling and going into labor at Rihanna's fashion show, has revealed the sad news that she's undergoing chemotherapy after reportedly being diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. The catwalk model took to her social media on Wednesday announcing her treatment news with bold instruction for her peers and fans. According to our friends at The Shade Room, Slick Woods is battling stage 3 melanoma cancer and it is "spreading." Slick Woods, who is only 23 years old, gave birth to her first child just one year ago.

Her Announcement
Announcing her chemotherapy treatment on Instagram, the fashion model shared a photo showing her dancing and laughing with a group of friends. "How I feel about chemotherapy, shout out to everyone that gotta go through it," she wrote and included a hashtag stating "at least I'm already bald." While it appears she has a positive outlook on the future of her health, Slick Woods, whose real name is Simone Marie Thompson, is making it clear that she doesn't want people to pity her. In a follow-up post, the mom of one posted a photo of her son, Saphir, making a grouchy expression and captioned it, "Stop treating me like a victim."
Flooded With Well-Wishes
Friends and fans alike took to Slick Wood's social media posts to send her their prayers. "Hidden Figures" actress Taraji P Henson replied to the model's post by writing encouraging words. "You are already on the other side of this heathy and strong like it never happened. I adore you," she stated. La La Anthony wrote, "Love u sis ❤️" and her boyfriend, "Love & Hip Hop" Star Micky Munday commented, "U got this." Fans showed their support by sending her well-wishes and sharing their own stories with her too. "Sending love🖤 this shit is all over my family. I know it's hard but also doable. Keep going, you're amazing!" one fan wrote. "You got this Queen #wearesurvivors 💪💪💪 you have my support. I'm a stage 4 lymphoma cancer survivor," added another.

The runway model, who is prominent in Rihanna's Fenty campaign, is a force to be reckoned with in the fashion industry. Aside from modeling for Fenty and Fenty X Savage, she's worked with designers like Fendi, Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein, Moschino, and Miu Miu. She has also appeared in Vogue and has compared herself as 80s supermodel Gia Carangi. Slick Woods made headlines when she went into labor while on the catwalk during Rihanna's fashion show last year, but as The Blast reported, RiRi already had a plan in place in case that happened. At the time, we spoke with sources who told us that the singer's team arranged for 8-months pregnant Woods to have personal handlers on-site to look after their health. Production also had an ambulance ready to go in case she went into labor. Backstage sources said the second she stepped off the runway, Woods knew something was wrong and was rushed into Rihanna's dressing room by her paramedic, who quickly got her to a hospital.
