The Skally Line to perform at Bemidji Public Library May 18

May 13—BEMIDJI — The

Bemidji Public Library

will host The Skally Line on its regional spring tour at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, at the library, 509 America Ave.

"Named after the old rail line connecting Duluth with the Twin Cities, The Skally Line steams its way around the curves and bends of early American music: string band blues, Appalachian ballads, fiddle tunes, early country and bluegrass and Tin Pan Alley music," a release said. "Along the way, they tell forgotten stories about old Minnesota, play original music rooted in that history and have a rip-roaring good time."

Comprised of musicians Fred Keller and Bill Cagley, The Skally Line is a band dedicated to creating an experience through old-time music and song with a focus on Minnesota history and story.

This event is free and open to the public.
