Sixers star Joel Embiid to play vs. Pacers, Mike Scott to earn a start

The Philadelphia 76ers have already beaten the Indiana Pacers this season without Joel Embiid on the road in January. They will not have to repeat the feat on Monday as they host the team this time at the Wells Fargo Center.

Embiid was questionable for the game on Monday, but after his pregame workout, the 7-foot star big man will play in the game after the team said he had some left ankle soreness he began feeling in Saturday’s loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

On the other hand, Tobias Harris will be out for this matchup, it will be extremely tough to pull out a win against a very tough Pacers team even with Embiid in the lineup. The big fella will need some help battling Indiana’s tandem of Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner.

In place of Harris, the team will turn to Mike Scott to start in his place.

The Sixers will still have enough in order to get it done in this one and get a win. They do face Rudy Gobert and the NBA-leading Utah Jazz on Wednesday for their final game before the All-Star break so it would be nice if they can get a couple of wins before heading into the break.
