Six-Woman Tag Team Match Set For WWE WrestleMania 39

WWE WrestleMania 39‘s card continues to get even bigger, with a six-woman tag team match featuring several top stars has been added to the card.

During the March 6 episode of WWE RAW, Becky Lynch and Lita celebrated their recent WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship win. Lita then introduced their “equalizer” from last week, Trish Stratus, who joined them in the ring. Stratus told Lita she will always have her back, but before they could say anything else, Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai & IYO SKY) interrupted.

Bayley quickly took a microphone and complained about Stratus getting involved last week. She called them selfish, to which Stratus quickly challenged the trio of Damage CTRL to a six-person tag at WrestleMania. Bayley accepted the challenge before Dakota Kai and Io Sky then attacked the trio. Stratus and Lita quickly dumped them out of the ring. Bayley is left alone in the ring, and the trio of Lynch, Stratus, and Lita ganged up on her.

With some help from Stratus, Lita and Lynch defeated Dakota Kai & IYO SKY to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on the February 27 episode of WWE RAW. Lita kicked off her return run on the February 6 episode of WWE RAW; there, she attacked Damage CTRL and assisted Lynch in her win over Bayley in a Steel Cage Match.

Stratus will come out of retirement for the WrestleMania match; her most recent match came at SummerSlam 2019, where she faced Charlotte Flair.
