There's no shortage of things to do in Lake County this weekend. Here are some highlights:

Mount Dora Elvis Weekend

Sept. 14-17

Elvis fans gather one last time in Mount Dora at the Mount Dora Community Center to celebrate and pay homage to the king. Impersonators include Dwight Icenhower, Cote Deonath and Bill Cherry, among others. Prices and times vary for events throughout the weekend. 520 N. Get some comic relief at Fruitland Park’s monthly comedy night. Headliner Patrick Sisk nailed it as a finalist in the Florida Funniest Comic competition. Opener Daniel Patrick Hodges drove all the way from Ocala to perform. Comedian Alex Soto, 2018 Marion County's Got Talent winner, emcees the event and tells some jokes, too. Suds, Pups and Pints

Saturday, Sept. 16, 3-6 p.m.

Stars of The Jim Colbert Show from Real Radio 104.1 FM along with other local notables are lending their time to wash dogs. The charitable bath will include music, craft beer provided by local breweries, a silent auction, and a "not-so-silent" auction. Proceeds go to the Humane Society of Lake County.
