Christine Brown may have been finished with Kody Brown, but some weren’t sure if the former Sister Wives star was ready for a new romance.

Christine, 51, married David Woolley in Moab, Utah, last month. While many might be happy for the reality star exiting her polygamous marriage and finding love again, Janelle Brown wasn’t initially sold on her moving on so quickly.

"When you first told us you'd met this guy, I was like, 'Oh no, that's too fast,’ ” Janelle told Christine in a joint interview with Entertainment Tonight published on Tuesday.

Janelle, 54, worried the relationship was moving so quickly, it might even be “dangerous.”

"I was like, 'No, no, this is not a good idea. This is too fast. This is too fast,’ ” she continued.

Once Christine and Kody parted ways after 14 years together in 2021, she met Woolley, 59, online through a matchmaking service in October 2022. As time went on, Janelle confessed that her former co-star and David "worked out amazing."

"When I first met him, I'm like, 'Wow, he's really cool.' And the longer I hang out with him, I'm like, 'It's awesome,' " Janelle told ET. "He's really cool. I third wheel with them a lot and I really enjoy it. He's funny and he thinks like [Christine] and he thinks like me. And the kids adore him. All the kids think he's amazing."

Christine and Kody share six children together — Aspyn, 28, Mykelti, 27, Gwendlyn, 21, Ysabel, 20, Truely, 13, and son Paedon, 25. Janelle also has six kids with the Brown patriarch. The strained relationship often played out before cameras on the long-running TLC reality series.

Elsewhere in the interview, Christine discussed her plans for changing her name now that she has a new husband.

"I will change it legally to Christine Woolley," she said. "But I'll still be known as Christine Brown, just because I've been Christine Brown for 14 years, you know? But no, it will be Christine Woolley, definitely."

"I had no idea it felt like this or would feel like this... It's amazing," she continued. "It's like we just kind of moved in side-by-side with each other and just continued moving on in our life, but we're doing everything that the other person wanted to do but never did. So we travel so much and try so many new things and we have so many more kids now."

Ahead of the fall wedding, Christine spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about the “fairytale” ceremony.

“It's a fairytale,”she said. “It's everything I never thought I would have. I get to walk down the aisle to David, him just looking at me the way that he does, it’s a dream come true.”

Woolley added that Christine finally got a chance to “wear a white dress and walk down the aisle with her dad” because it’s something “she never got to do [in] her first marriage.”

Sister Wives airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
