Garrison Brown was laid to rest at a funeral four days after his sudden death.

On Saturday, Garrison's cousin, Emma Brown, revealed that a funeral had taken place for the 25-year-old in a post on Instagram.

"dear robert, i had to dress up for your funeral today and this is everything i wish you could’ve heard before i had to say goodbye," she wrote in the caption beside several photos of her cousin. "i don’t even own a picture of you without your contagious smile. i don’t know if i have the right words to say i’ll miss you. i wish i was able to give you a hug and tell you how much you were loved. you were human, you had flaws but never once did i doubt the friendship we had."

"i’ll always cherish the times i got to spend with you," she continued. "we planned to go on so many backpacking trips but only made it to one. i’ll miss your goofy dad jokes, our coffee runs, the dinners we shared. the times we watched movies and you always let me put messy face masks all over our faces."

She concluded her message by remembering Garrison's caring nature, saying, "you always made sure that i had ate, and made sure i knew i could always talk to you. you were a son, a brother, a soldier, and a friend. if there is a god i hope he’s giving you peace. i love you robert."

Mykelti Brown Padron, who is Robert's half sibling, also penned a touching tribute to him on social media Monday. After sharing two quotes about pain and experiencing love, Mykelti wrote, "My heart breaks for my brother who’s no longer with us but it rejoices knowing he’s with his fellow warriors in Valhalla drinking and fighting with Odin."

"I hope he is loving his place amongst the stars," the daughter of Sister Wives stars Christine and Kody Brown wrote. "Garrison was always the funniest person in the room. He was one cool dude and I cry so much because my kinda will never be able to experience his fun presence. But he will live on in all my families memories. Have fun up with the stars little bro, you’re missed."

Fans were first introduced to Garrison in 2010 alongside his various siblings, mother Janelle, father Kody and Kody's other wives — MeriChristine and Robyn Brown — in the TLC series documenting the polygamist family's day-to-day life.

After Janelle spiritually married Kody in 1993, the couple went on to have six children: Madison, Logan, Garrison, Gabriel, Hunter and Savanah. In December 2022, Janelle announced that she and Kody had separated.

Over the years, Kody's relationship with his children has become rocky. In a 2023 episode of Sister Wives, Gabriel and Garrison revealed they were "at odds" with Kody after expressing their "discontent" with how he had handled the COVID-19 pandemic.

"I was met with just a wall,” Gabriel shared at the time. “And there was no line of dialogue. I think that that is what really drove the wedge between us.”

In a confessional interview later, Janelle expressed concern over her children's strained relationship with their father. “I have worried about my boys’ mental health. Gabriel feels everything very, very deeply. But he’s also the kid who doesn’t say anything," she said before adding that Garrison "just seems angry or sadder, like, he’s not as happy-go-lucky as he used to be.”
