Sister of Ahmaud Arbery 'relieved' following arrest of brother’s killers

Jasmine Arbery, the older sister of Ahmaud Arbery, the unarmed Georgia mane who was shot and killed while jogging on February 23, joined Chris Cuomo on Cuomo Prime Time Thursday night to speak about the long-awaited arrest of the men responsible for her brother’s death.

CHRIS CUOMO: How has your family taken this?

JASMINE ARBERY: It's been a numbing state for the family because we haven't been able to grieve. We're in a constant fight mode because we're trying to seek justice for my brother.

KYLIE MAR: Jasmine Arbery-- the older sister of a Ahmaud Aubry-- the unarmed Georgia man who was shot and killed while out for a jog in February-- joined "Cuomo Prime Time" Thursday night to speak about how the family feels following the long awaited arrest of the man responsible for her brother's death.

JASMINE ARBERY: We feel a sense of relief. This has been a long run. It's been a long time.

It feels like it's been a long time. So this day was a turning point in recovering my brother's case and getting justice for him. So we're relieved and happy.

KYLIE MAR: It was only after a video surfaced of Arbery's killing and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation got involved that a father and son Gregory and Travis McMichael were arrested. And Jasmine believes she knows what was behind the incident.

JASMINE ARBERY: I believe it was a hate crime. It was one black and three white guys.

CHRIS CUOMO: How does that make you feel that that might have been what took your brother's life?

JASMINE ARBERY: That his life wasn't respected.

KYLIE MAR: And Jasmine says now the family just wants justice for her brother.

JASMINE ARBERY: We want justice. We're seeking justice.

CHRIS CUOMO: What does that look like?

JASMINE ARBERY: Getting consequence of [INAUDIBLE] and [INAUDIBLE] this whole situation was senseless. It could have been avoided.
