A single father reunited with his “best friend” after not seeing him for nearly a year.
There’s nothing worse than circumstances that keep parents and children apart. Sometimes, the realities of work and life just get in the way. Moms and dads have to make the necessary sacrifices to take care of their children, no matter what, even if it means they can’t always be there.
TikToker Corey is the single father of two boys. He also happens to be enlisted in the U.S. Army. He had been deployed for 11 months before reuniting with his sons. He shared the touching moment on TikTok.

The father picked up one of his sons from school. Before he could even reach the entrance, his son burst through the door and ran into his arms. The little boy gave him a big hug. Corey kissed his son on the cheek and picked him up. The dad looked emotional, almost like he was tearing up seeing his son for the first time in so long.

The touching video received 3.4 million views on TikTok.
“My dad is on a year-long deployment. He’s been in service for 20 years. It never gets easier!” a user commented.
“Oh, my heart. I haven’t seen my son for nine months. He is stationed in Japan. Can’t wait for a hug like that!” another wrote.
“That just brought tears to my eyes. Thanks for your service. Your son’s face is priceless,” someone added.
