More Dirty Dealings in the New 'Sin City: A Dame to Kill For' Trailer

Some guys are too tough (and some faces are too famous) to stay dead for long, which is why Mickey Rourke and Bruce Willis are back in the trailer for the sequel, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.

Like the first Sin City, Dame is a collection of interwoven stories from the gritty, noir-inspired world of graphic novelist Frank Miller, who directs here alongside Robert Rodriguez. What’s different is that only one of the tales is actually taken from the graphic novel A Dame to Kill For. Chronologically, that story takes place before the original flick, which is why Marv (played by Rourke) is still alive.

Miller also wrote two original stories just for the new movie. One highlights the return of Nancy, played once again by Jessica Alba. Traumatized by her past, Nancy has visions of John Hartigan (Willis), the cop who sacrificed himself to save her. And another new story introduces the character of Johnny (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), a gambler who has a personal debt to settle with the powerful and corrupt Senator Roark (Powers Boothe).

Also starring Josh Brolin, Eva Green, Rosario Dawson, and Dennis Haysbert (who replaces the late Michael Clarke Duncan as the hulking menace Manute), Sin City: A Dame to Kill For opens nationwide on Aug. 22.
