A Simple Favor 2 Cast Set for Anna Kendrick-Led Sequel

Amazon MGM Studios has confirmed the official cast for Paul Feig‘s upcoming A Simple Favor 2, revealing that most of the first installment’s cast members are coming back for the sequel.

Joining lead stars Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively in the upcoming thriller sequel are Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin, Joshua Satine, Ian Ho and Kelly McCormack as they reprise their respective roles as Sean Townsend, Darren, Detective Summerville, Miles Smothers, Nicky Townsend-Nelson and Stacy. Production is expected to begin this coming spring.

What is A Simple Favor 2 about?

“In the film, we see the return of Stephanie Smothers and Emily Nelson as they head to the beautiful island of Capri, Italy, for Emily’s extravagant wedding to a rich Italian businessman. Along with the glamorous guests, expect murder and betrayal to RSVP for a wedding with more twists and turns than the road from the Marina Grande to the Capri town square.”

A Simple Favor 2 is directed by Paul Feig from a screenplay written by Jessica Sharzer, who both worked together in the first installment. It is produced by Feig and Laura Fischer, with Sharzer serving as an executive producer. The original film was based on Darcey Bell’s 2017 novel of the same name. It told the story of a mommy vlogger who tries to solve the disappearance of her new mysterious friend, only to discover that things aren’t exactly as they seem.
