Simon Helberg Shares Hugh Grant's Acting Secret
On Thursday’s Conan, The Big Bang Theory’s Simon Helberg revealed his and Hugh Grant’s surprising tricks for relieving anxiety when acting. When filming Florence Foster Jenkins, he learned Hugh Grant carries around something called a “panic sack.” The oddly named bag contains homeopathic remedies that are said to calm the nerves.
Though he does not have a panic sack of his own, Helberg explained that he has an odd place to keep his anxiety remedy. Helberg said, “My wife had given me all these little, like, cocaine vials of essential oils.”
Thankfully, Helberg doesn’t have cocaine in those vials. Cocaine isn’t known for calming the nerves.
Conan airs weeknights at 11 p.m. on TBS.
