Sibylla Deen Sails With ‘The Last Ship’; Sherry Cola Joins ‘I Love Dick’

Sibylla Deen (Tyrant) has booked passage on Season 4 of TNT drama The Last Ship. Created by Hank Steinberg and Steven Kane based on William Brinkley’s novel, the series chronicles the aftermath of a global catastrophe that nearly decimates the world’s population. Captain Tom Chandler (Eric Dane) and his crew must confront the reality of their new existence in a world where they may be among the few remaining survivors. Deen will recur as Lucia, a cunning survivor of the plague with a special interest in the fate of the world. She is disciplined but also ruthless and unforgiving and has an ax to grind with Chandler. Deen played Nusrat Al-Fayeed on FX’s Tyrant and Ankhe on Spike’s miniseries Tut, and next starts in the British indie Lies We Tell. She is repped by Gersh, Authentic Talent and Literary Management and attorney Ryan Nord.

Newcomer Sherry Cola is set for a recurring role on Amazon’s upcoming comedy I Love Dick. Told in Rashomon-style shifts of POV and set in a colorful academic community in Marfa, Texas, it centers on a struggling married couple (Kathryn Hahn and Griffin Dunne) and their mutual obsession with an off-putting but charismatic professor named Dick (Kevin Bacon). Cola will play one of Dick’s art school students. She stars in a series of viral videos for the web series Luber posing as Lil Tasty, a driver for an Uber-like service who raps to the chagrin of her clients. Repped by manager Colin Stark, Cola also is a stand-up comic and co-hosts The Bae Show on AMP Radio.
