Sia Pitches In And Surprises Walmart and TJMaxx Shoppers Buying Their Groceries For 'The Season Of Giving'

An Angel In Walmart

Sia, that mysterious singer/songwriter, popped in to a Palm Springs, California, Walmart on Wednesday to pay for people's groceries.

She was also apparently seen at a Palm Springs TJ Maxx helping customers with their bundles of packages.

It's Not a Chandelier, But That's OK

At first she was able to stay concealed, telling others she had won the lottery, but some caught on quick that it was the famous singer, and the secret was out.

She was seen in a video using her card to pay for someone's purchases, then saying "Ta da! Who's next," and looking for someone else to help.

Sia Spotted In Real Life

After she was outed, she posed for photos, and those lucky enough to have their groceries paid for by none other than Sia expressed their gratitude, as the holiday season officially kicks off.

"I love that she did this not for recognition of showing kindness, but just actually being a kind person. She didn’t want people to know who she was, or why she was doing it," wrote one person on social media.

"For I was hungry, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: God bless you Sia," said another.

Caught On Camera

Popculture writes that Adri Buckles, a fan, took video of Sia asking people behind her if she could pay for their items. At the time, Sia called herself "Cici" and told people she had won the lottery.

It's not surprising that people didn't recognize her right away, since her usual look includes wearing a hairdo that almost completely covers her face. And one fan didn't even know it was Sia until she went home and looked at the photos.

Sia has had a home in Palm Springs since about 2013.
