Sia Releases Powerful Ballad 'Bird Set Free,' Originally Intended for Adele: Listen

On Monday, Sia announced the release date for her upcoming studio album, This Is Acting, through the Instagram account @siathisisacting. Now, she’s premiered another song from the album, “Bird Set Free” – and as with first single “Alive,” the song was initially intended for Adele’s 25.

In her Rolling Stone cover story, Adele briefly mentions how none of the tracks the two worked on made the record. However, she described the experience as very liberating: “I actually love the dynamic of us both being in there and just f—ing being bossy.”
