Sia Admits to Hitting Up Diplo with a Booty Call Text for 'No-Strings Sex'

Singer Sia recently chatted with GQ and revealed some raunchy details about her relationship with EDM artist and music producer Diplo.

Sia told GQ that while working with Diplo she became sexually-attracted to him and felt she didn't need to hold her thoughts back. She reached out to her equally famous crush in a text, making the offer, "If you're interested in some no-strings sex, then hit me up."

While it's not clear from the article whether Diplo took her up on that offer, Sia had other kind things to say about the humble producer in the interview and she dropped a bombshell about recently adopting.

What was Sia's full booty call offer?

In her full statement to GQ, Sia explains the thought that went behind her booty call offer.

"Much of our relationship is just being spent trying not to have sex so that we wouldn't ruin our business relationship because he's super-duper hot. This year I wrote him a text, and I said, 'Hey listen, you're like one of five people that I'm sexually attracted to, and now that I've decided to be single for the rest of my life and I just adopted a son, I don't have time for a relationship...If you're interested in some no-strings sex, then hit me up,'" she said.

Sia's single game comes after adopting.

As Sia mentioned, her bold game is a result of her recent adoption and decision to remain a single-mother for the rest of her life.

This is the first time Sia officially announced she adopted a son. However, she tossed around the idea of adoption back in May 2019 when she met a teenage boy who had endured traumatic family experiences and abuse.

The teenager Sia thought about adopting in May is Dasani from the HBO documentary series FOSTER. Dasani tragically witnessed his father shoot and murder his mother and was later abused by a family member who took him in. It is unclear whether her newly adopted son is Dasani or not.

She also said Diplo is "one of the most talented and attractive people in the world."

In the lighter aspects of her interview, Sia went on to show her appreciation for Diplo, who she has known and worked with for over 10 years.

Referring to him as "the sweetest thing in the world" and "one of the most insecure boys I've ever met," Sia clarified she didn't mean the second statement as an insult and is instead awed by his process.

"He doesn't think that he's good enough at anything. He has crazy low self-esteem. It's so interesting because he's one of the most talented and attractive people in the world. But he doesn't know it," Sia said.

However, Diplo may still be caught up on his ex "Paper Planes" singer M.I.A.

Yet, Diplo's own words in the article echo Sia's perception of his insecurities. Based on his comments about relationships, it seems likely Diplo is surprisingly not always the "hook-up" type of guy.

When asked about women, Diplo said, "Kids are very sexual, with these weird apps, and they lose the accountability of their emotions because they don't really connect with people. So sex becomes a little too mundane. I've probably got the same problem but I am very into the women I'm with, and sex, so it's not just sex with them."

His statement is likely fueled by his break-up with singer M.I.A., which he brings up later in the interview.

Despite the break-up occurring in 2008, he expressed how hurt he was when she decided to pursue someone else and have a kid right after they split. With his mind on the past, it seems unlikely Diplo will be taking up Sia's offer anytime soon.
