Friday

Backyard Bash

9 a.m. to noon, Wabash Valley College, 2200 College Drive, Mount Carmel, Illinois. Free.

This family-friendly event will have food booths, snow cones, bounce houses, live entertainment, story times and games.

ShrinersFest

Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Riverside Drive in Evansville. Free.

This two-day festival features food booths, a beer garden, live music and performances, and a half-pot raffle. For more information about the half-pot, visit HadiHalfPot.com.

Summer Block Party

4 to 7 p.m., MLK Jr. Avenue between South Alves and South Alvasia streets, near Health First Cabell Platt Medical Center in Henderson, Kentucky. Free.

This event will have activities for the whole family with live entertainment, free food, vendors and opportunities to meet local fire and police officers. Matthew 25 will be offering $20 gift cards for participating in a health screening.

VHS Wag N' Drag

6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Vanderburgh Humane Society, 400 Millner Industrial Drive. Free.

This event celebrates pets and pride with food trucks, local vendors, adorable shelter pets and live performances from local drag queens.

Riley Richard

8 p.m., The Cresent Room, 621 S. Cullen Ave. Tickets are $40.

Saxophonist Riley Richard will perform smooth jazz.

Saturday

SWIMGA Tour de Fleur Garden Walk

Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., SWIMGA Display Garden, 3501 E. Lloyd Expressway in Evansville. Tickets range from $20 to $25. Children 12 and under are free.

Come check out some new ideas for your landscape while touring 12 spectacular gardens.

Franklin Street Bazaar

9 a.m. to 1 p.m, along West Franklin Street. Free.

Every Saturday on the lawn of the West Branch Library, hundreds of vendors from local farmers and producers to bakers to artists and craftsmen have pop-up shops for visitors to discover local products.

EVPL Pride Drive-In

Join the Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library staff for a Pride Drive In featuring a family-friendly movie with food booths and games hosted by community organizations.

Sunday

Day of Play

1 to 3 p.m., Friedman Park, 2700 Park Blvd. in Newburgh, Indiana. Free.

Kids ages 6 and under will be able to play throughout the park with planting, rock painting, corn hole, art and music stations, a tape adventure, bug and animal displays, yoga, parachute play, touch trucks and food trucks.
