The move will see a number of Paramount+ shows added to the linear channel, sitting alongside upcoming Showtime originals like A Gentleman in Moscow and The Department.

Among the Paramount+ shows being added to the linear channel are Halo, Sexy Beasts, Mayor of Kingstown and Star Trek: Discovery.

Paramount announced its plan to merge Showtime with Paramount+ in January of this year, looking to bring Showtime’s premium shows and franchises to the Paramount+ streaming service. The company would go on to lay off 25 percent of staff in its TV networks division tied to the merger, and shut down some historic brands like MTV News and Showtime Sports.

Paramount+ officially added Showtime programming in June, rebranding as Paramount+ with Showtime. The company said at the time that it would eventually rebrand the Showtime linear channel as well.

The company will roll out a launch marketing campaign beginning today to inform Showtime subscribers about the upcoming change. You can watch it below.
